Identify the hatchback first
The Dolphin hatchback and the smaller Dolphin Mini, Surf or Seagull family must remain separate. A translated sales name is a lookup aid, not a fitment decision.
Record rear suspension independently
UK specifications provide a useful warning: Active and Boost share a 44.9 kWh battery description, while Active uses a torsion beam and Boost uses multi-link rear suspension. Comfort and Design are also listed with multi-link. These are UK specification examples, not worldwide trim rules; use an installed rear-axle view for the actual vehicle.
Keep the original market after an import
A used import keeps its original steering, lighting and electronic equipment even when registered in another country. Record LHD or RHD separately from the headlamp approval required for the traffic market. A destination address cannot identify the existing assembly.
Separate body revision from registration year
Compare the complete bumper, lamp and panel junctions with vehicle photographs. Production labels and component markings are stronger identification than a first-registration year. Do not label every Dolphin panel as universal across all builds.
Make differences visible in the order
Attach one component label and installed-location record per line. Keep unconfirmed references marked as pending instead of combining conflicting market or suspension variants under one description. The component list below highlights assemblies where these boundaries matter.
Connected assembly checks
A front strut order separates the Shock Absorber, Strut Mount and Coil Spring; compare the adjoining Control Arm only when its location and joint contents are also identified.
On a confirmed torsion-beam car, identify the Rear Axle Beam together with its Coil Spring seats, Shock Absorber attachments and Wheel Hub Bearing interfaces. These checks do not establish multi-link interchange.
For front body alignment, compare Headlights mounting ears with the Front Bumper, metal Fender and Radiator Support; panel appearance alone cannot identify the lamp approval or module contents.
