Auto Parts Quality Control, Inspection and Traceability

Quality control starts with an agreed vehicle application, part specification and inspection scope. "Genuine", OE supplier, OE-quality and aftermarket are not interchangeable claims; the quotation must state the offered basis.

1. Requirement baseline

Record the matched application, OE/reference, position, dimensions, material or performance requirement, grade and approved sample where applicable.

2. Incoming and in-process checks

Check the agreed identity, quantity, appearance, key dimensions, connector or mounting details and packaging components relevant to that part family.

3. Functional inspection scope

Define any function, electrical, sealing, movement or fitment-related check before order confirmation. The exact method depends on the product and agreed requirement.

4. Sampling basis

Sampling level, acceptance criteria and evidence format are agreed in the quotation or order; no universal AQL or laboratory claim is implied.

5. Nonconformance handling

Record the affected item and evidence, separate nonconforming units, confirm corrective action and obtain buyer approval when the agreed specification changes.

6. Pre-shipment record

Where agreed, provide item-label, quantity, packing and representative inspection photos or video before shipment release.

The quotation or order confirmation should define the inspection basis, evidence to be supplied and any limits. Product-specific tests or certificates are confirmed only when applicable and agreed.
