Kia Sportage replacement parts

Kia Sportage Brakes, Steering & AWD Parts

Distinguish hydraulic service brakes, mechanical parking-brake shoes and electric parking-brake equipment.

Kia Sportage Brakes, Steering & AWD Parts component reference
Representative component group. Match each assembly to its own vehicle and system.

Identify the brake architecture

For older service drums, identify drums, shoes and wheel cylinders together. For rear discs, establish whether parking shoes or a caliper-mounted mechanism is installed.

Keep axle and suspension equipment together

Record axle, side, vehicle load and any electronic damping features. A complete strut includes more than a damper, while a control-arm quotation may or may not include its ball joint. Compare supplied contents before treating two prices as equivalent.

Match the ABS Wheel Speed Sensor and Wheel Hub Bearing encoder arrangement on the same wheel position.

Steering mechanism before replacement

Use the installed mechanism to distinguish early steering gear, hydraulic-assist equipment and later racks or electric assist. LHD/RHD, shaft interfaces and mounting positions remain necessary even when a replacement housing looks familiar.

Separate early 4WD from later AWD

A selectable-4WD transfer case is not the same as a later transverse AWD transfer unit. For propeller shafts and rear differentials, retain wheelbase, flange and ratio information. Identify the rear coupling independently when it is separately replaceable.
