BYD Song Plus EV / DM-i SUV
BYD Song Plus EV / DM-i & Market Identification
Start a Song Plus order with the full sales name, original market, production label and VIN.

Vehicle and market boundaries
| Vehicle record | Configuration | Selection boundary |
|---|---|---|
| Song Plus EV | Battery-electric SUV | No combustion-engine intake, oil, ignition, fuel or exhaust order. Identify build, original market and installed electric drive. |
| Song Plus DM-i 1.5L | Plug-in hybrid with a naturally aspirated petrol engine on identified builds | Keep the engine code and hybrid-system revision; an EV operating mode does not remove engine service requirements. |
| Song Plus DM-i 1.5T | Turbocharged plug-in hybrid on identified export builds | Confirm the actual engine and boost hardware. A 1.5L non-turbo or EV record cannot select a turbocharger or charge-air cooler. |
| Drive layout | FWD or separately identified AWD equipment | A rear drive shaft requires an actual rear traction unit. Keep the drive-unit marking and axle record. |
| Body revision | Early fascia or later ocean-design body/lamp equipment | Compare build and front/rear photographs; a registration year or shared badge does not select lamps, bumper covers or tailgate sections. |
| Export names and steering market | Full registration/model identity, LHD/RHD and lighting market | Related Seal U or other export names help identify a vehicle, but do not prove component interchangeability. Retain the original VIN-market record. |
Read the whole vehicle record
The family includes battery-electric and plug-in-hybrid SUVs; a shortened badge leaves out the distinction that changes filters, engine parts and cooling requests. Keep a registration document and a clear build-label photograph with the supplier inquiry.
Separate powertrain from operating mode
A DM-i vehicle can travel using electric power while still carrying a petrol engine, fuel system and exhaust. Its EV driving mode does not make it a battery-electric Song Plus. Identify the physical powertrain, exact engine and drive-unit labels before entering service parts on the list.
Keep engine variants explicit
Documented Song Plus DM-i markets include 1.5L and 1.5T specifications. State the engine code instead of using displacement alone. Turbo equipment, intake pressure sensors, injector systems and thermostat housings must follow the installed engine rather than a related export-model photograph.
Use market names as a question
Seal U and other export naming can help locate vehicle information, but the order still needs original market, drivetrain and build. Do not transfer a Seal sedan, Song Pro, Song L or another similarly named SUV into this application. If two records disagree, retain them as separate enquiries until the VIN and component labels resolve the difference.
Record body and chassis equipment
Photograph front lamps, bumper openings, rear lamps and tailgate equipment when collision parts are requested. For running gear, retain drive type, axle, fitted strut/damper and brake hardware. Early and revised body appearance is a useful clue, while mounting and connector records establish the actual component comparison.
Keep the identity beside each assembly
A mixed order should carry the same verified vehicle record on every relevant line, with separate component positions and quantities. Mark uncertain items for clarification before approving substitutions. This prevents an apparently convenient family-wide part number from crossing the EV, DM-i or market boundary.
Connected selection questions
Keep the DM-i engine air filter and oil filter on separate service lines.
For ignition orders, identify spark plugs independently from the ignition coil and its boot contents.
Keep the tie rod end thread and offset with the steering rack identification.
A powertrain mount concerns a different installed support and should not be inferred from steering vibration alone.
A CV axle / drive shaft needs the driven hub interface and working length.
Retain the wheel hub bearing record and separate drive-unit movement from the powertrain mount specification.
Assemblies to identify separately
| Assembly | Application | Selection record |
|---|---|---|
| Engine Air Filter | DM-i petrol engine only; EV excluded | Engine code, air-box revision, element outline and sealing lip |
| Oil Filter | DM-i combustion-engine lubrication only; EV excluded | Engine code, filter format, thread or housing and seal dimensions |
| Shock Absorber | EV / DM-i; axle, load and damper version | Axle/side, strut or rear damper, mounting and fitted damping equipment |
| CV Axle / Drive Shaft | Driven front axle; rear shaft only on confirmed AWD | Side, drive unit, spline, working length and joint interfaces |
| Steering Rack | LHD/RHD and actual assist arrangement | Drive side, rack label, mounting centres, ratio and tie-rod interfaces |
| Powertrain Mount | EV drive unit or DM-i engine/EHS; position-specific | Powertrain, mount position, bracket pattern and rubber or hydraulic construction |
| Turbocharger | Confirmed 1.5T DM-i applications only | Engine code, turbo marking, actuator and oil/coolant connections |
| Headlights | EV / DM-i; exact fascia, side and beam market | Side, facelift, LHD/RHD beam, connector and module contents |
| Tailgate | EV / DM-i; SUV rear-body revision | Shell, rear-window opening, lamp locations, wiper and latch interfaces |
Continue the order
Return to the Song Plus grouped parts directory. For commercial fields, use the parts-list quotation guide rather than inferring a price or stock status from a reference number.
Auto parts inquiry
Send the vehicle and part evidence.
Include brand, full model, year, engine or EV drivetrain, OE/material code, quantity, destination and packing request. You can attach a list or old-part photos.
