Tiggo 8 / Pro / Pro Max • Petrol, PHEV / CSH identified separately
Chery Tiggo 8, Pro, Pro Max & PHEV Identification
Record the original country of sale, production label, VIN and complete Pro, Pro Max, e+ or CSH name.

Vehicle and market boundaries
| Vehicle record | Configuration | Selection boundary |
|---|---|---|
| Ordinary Tiggo 8 / T18 | Original market, production label and engine/gearbox | Earlier Russian 2.0T petrol examples use port injection and CVT. Keep these separate from TGDI/DCT and plug-in vehicles. |
| Tiggo 8 Limited manual | Actual 1.5T MT vehicle record | The Chilean Limited specification includes a 1.5T manual version alongside DCT. A conventional clutch request requires that exact manual gearbox and release system. |
| Tiggo 8 Pro petrol | Engine marking, full suffix and market | South African Pro 1.6TGDI/7DCT is a documented example, not approval of every Pro market or an older CVT vehicle. |
| Tiggo 8 Pro Max petrol | Engine/gearbox and driven-axle record | Australian 2.0T/7DCT examples include FWD and AWD grades. Pro Max naming alone cannot establish a mechanical shaft or rear differential. |
| Pro e+ / earlier plug-in | Exact hybrid drive label and build | Retain the original plug-in transmission and thermal-system record. An earlier Pro e+ listing cannot approve a later CSH service element or charging/starting assembly. |
| Tiggo 8 CSH / Super Hybrid FWD | Exact market, engine and dedicated drive | The Australian MY26 example uses 1.5T, one-speed DHT and FWD. Keep hybrid circuit and gearbox records separate from conventional petrol. |
| Tiggo 8 CSH AWD | Actual rear-drive architecture | The Indonesian CSH AWD has electrically driven rear equipment. Do not extend mechanical petrol AWD shaft, angle-drive or differential requests from the shared AWD label. |
| Chassis and cabin equipment | Axle/corner, steering market and actual HVAC case | Documented Australian examples use front struts and rear multi-link suspension. Front/rear climate equipment, powered hatch and mirror functions remain build-specific. |
| Plus, 8L and other names | Full registration and manufacturer label | Plus naming may locate a record but does not approve body interchange. Keep 8L, other numbered Tiggos and rebadged vehicles outside an assumed common parts list. |
Start with the complete Tiggo 8 identity
Photograph the front, rear and engine bay. A seven-seat body or a badge is useful identification context, but it does not establish the engine, gearbox or component revision.
Separate older petrol configurations
An earlier Russian Tiggo 8 example uses a port-injected 2.0T engine with CVT. The Chilean Limited range includes 1.5T manual and DCT versions. These records explain why a routine filter, clutch or starter request must retain the actual engine and gearbox rather than inherit a later Pro specification.
Identify Pro and Pro Max by their actual record
The South African Pro 1.6TGDI/7DCT and Australian Pro Max 2.0T/7DCT are different documented petrol examples. Other markets may use revised combinations. Keep the component label with the original market and driven-axle information; suffixes are not a substitute for those records.
Do not equate the two AWD architectures
Mechanical petrol AWD requires its actual gearbox output, longitudinal shaft and rear final-drive equipment. Indonesian CSH AWD instead has electric rear-drive equipment. A shared AWD description cannot select the same shaft, angle-drive unit, rear carrier or drive assembly across these layouts.
Retain the plug-in generation and circuit record
Earlier Pro e+ and later CSH requests need their exact dedicated hybrid drive identity. The Australian Super Hybrid FWD example uses a one-speed DHT, but that does not approve all earlier plug-in gearboxes or every other-market AWD system. Conventional charging, starting and belt-driven compressor requests remain separately restricted.
Carry body and equipment identity into each order
Use the same front/rear revision and LHD/RHD record for lamps, covers and door equipment. Photograph the fitted hatch lift and front/rear HVAC case if those parts are requested. Plus wording does not establish panel interchange, while 8L and unrelated rebadges require their own separate vehicle assessment.
Connected selection questions
An identified mechanical petrol AWD order can pair the AWD propeller shaft with its AWD transfer unit and AWD rear differential.
CSH electric rear-drive equipment does not approve these conventional assemblies.
Retain mechanical AWD rear differential ratio and mounts with the actual rear subframe.
Requested rear CV axle / drive shaft interfaces must not be borrowed from a front shaft or electric hybrid drive.
Assemblies to identify separately
| Assembly | Application | Selection record |
|---|---|---|
| Engine Air Filter | Identified combustion engine and intake housing | Engine code, air-box perimeter, depth and sealing lip |
| Manual Clutch Kit | Identified manual gearbox only | Engine/MT code, disc spline, flywheel, cover and release system |
| CV Axle / Drive Shaft | Identified driven corner and gearbox/drive unit | Side, spline, working length, joints and seal land |
| Engine Mount | Exact engine-side support and mounting position | Engine label, bracket, position and mount design |
| AWD Propeller Shaft | Confirmed mechanical AWD longitudinal shaft only | Vehicle/gearbox, flange patterns, length, joints and supports |
| AWD Rear Differential | Confirmed mechanical rear final-drive assembly | Unit label, ratio, coupling, flanges and carrier mounts |
| A/C Compressor | Confirmed mechanical compressor; HV unit excluded | Installed drive, engine, pulley, refrigerant ports and control |
| High-Pressure Fuel Pump | Confirmed direct-injection combustion engine only | Engine and pump label, mounting, drive and fuel unions |
| Alternator | Confirmed conventional petrol charging unit only | Engine, output, bracket, pulley and control plug |
| Turbocharger | Only an identified turbo engine and actuator | Engine, turbo label, fluid ports, actuator and flanges |
| Headlights | Actual front revision, side and beam market | Build, LHD/RHD beam, lamp technology, modules and sockets |
| Rear Bumper | Exact rear cover and installed equipment | Build, reflector/sensor openings, lower trim and mounting |
| Front Grille | Identified main grille and front-body revision | Outline, finish, upper/lower position, badge and equipment seats |
