Tailgate Support / Lift Strut: application and selection
| Check | Required record |
|---|---|
| Supported application | EV / DM-i; gas-assisted or powered tailgate |
| Assembly identification | Support type, side, stroke, mount ends and electrical connector |
| Vehicle record | Full sales name, original market, production date, VIN and installed powertrain or engine where applicable. |
A gas spring cannot replace a powered spindle support. Identify fitted lift equipment, partner side and control requirements; the rear-body weight alone does not select the actuator.
Connected assembly decisions
The tailgate lock actuator controls the rear latch; the tailgate support / lift strut carries or powers the hatch.
Keep both requests with the actual tailgate equipment.
For a mixed system order, use the Song Plus Body, Lamps & Tailgate Parts Guide. If the powertrain record is unclear, resolve Song Plus model and market identity first.
Compare related vehicle applications
Keep the tailgate support / lift strut specification above when comparing tailgate support / lift strut and related applications by vehicle.
Supply contents and packing
State single support or paired contents, fixing hardware and transport protection for shafts and sockets.
Prepare the inquiry
Include support type, side, stroke, mount ends and electrical connector, the vehicle record and overall, label and connection photographs. Use the OE and VIN identification checklist to resolve missing markings before adding the quantity and requested assembly contents.
Keep this tailgate support / lift strut specification with the rest of the Song Plus parts order.
