Use the exact engine and lubrication layout to distinguish filter count, spin-on interface and any bypass element. Older diesel and later petrol engines require separate service lists.
Start with engine code and filter count; compare thread and gasket dimensions and full-flow or bypass role before confirming the order.

| Selection record | What to include |
|---|---|
| Engine code and filter count | Record engine code and filter count from the vehicle or installed assembly, and retain any readable identification. |
| Thread and gasket dimensions | Show thread and gasket dimensions in clear photos; provide dimensions or markings when they determine the interface. |
| Full-flow or bypass role | Specify full-flow or bypass role, including any separate fittings or hardware required in the quotation. |
A second diesel filter position is not identified by matching the first filter alone.
Keep the full chassis identifier, build date and market with the inquiry, along with any component-specific vehicle details. The Patrol vehicle-identification guide explains the Y60, Y61, Y62 and Y63 boundaries and how to record modifications.
Use the maintenance and service packs guide when preparing related components for the same vehicle.
| Reference | Application boundary |
|---|---|
| 15208-43G00 | Full-flow filter cross-reference for the cataloged 2001–2003 Patrol GU III 4.2 TD42 service application. Confirm filter position and any second filter separately. |
Identification reference only. Confirm the exact vehicle, installed assembly and current replacement number before order approval.
If the repair includes other components, keep their specifications on separate order lines. Matching one assembly does not establish compatibility for the rest.
Patrol Air Filter: compare engine and airbox and element outline and dimensions for that order line.
Patrol Oil Cooler: compare oil circuit and engine or gearbox and cooling medium and port layout for that order line.
Specify oil filter quantities by confirmed vehicle application. List the included assembly pieces, sample requirement and destination separately.
Protect the base seal and retain clean protective caps.
Agree acceptable substitutions and sample requirements before bulk approval. Use the quality-control checklist to specify inspection points, or return to the Patrol component directory for the remaining order lines.
For a mixed-vehicle order, compare replacement filters for other models. Keep each vehicle application and approved specification separate; similar appearance does not make parts interchangeable.
