Nissan Sentra procurement guide
Nissan Sentra B13–B18 Chassis & Market Guide
Turn a Sentra model name into a vehicle record that is specific enough for several component quotations.
Use the complete vehicle record
| Vehicle context | Period or market | Purchasing distinction |
|---|---|---|
| B13–B15 | Earlier compact-sedan families; dates and names vary by market | Treat as separate legacy applications. Send chassis/VIN, engine, transmission, body photographs and installed-part evidence. |
| B16 | Commonly 2007–2012 in North America | Separate 2.0 and 2.5/SE-R applications, manual versus CVT, rear brake package and production market. |
| B17 | Commonly 2013–2019 in North America | Separate 1.8 naturally aspirated cars from 1.6T SR Turbo/NISMO; confirm manual/CVT, trim, lamps and rear brakes. |
| B18 | 2020-on in North America; market introductions vary | Identify 2.0 DIG, Xtronic CVT, S/SV/SR equipment, rear drum/disc choice, halogen/LED and facelift date. |
| Sentra, Sylphy, Sunny, Pulsar and related regional names | Discovery aliases only | Names and shared platforms are not interchangeability proof. Keep full sales market, chassis and installed component with every request. |
Start with chassis and build evidence
Photograph the VIN/chassis plate and retain production date, sales market, engine and transmission. First registration can follow production and is not a reliable generation boundary for an imported vehicle.
Use B-codes as scope, not a shortcut
B13 through B18 identify broad families, but market production, engines and equipment differ. Keep the complete chassis identifier and installed assembly evidence; do not approve a part from the B-code alone.
Keep regional names separate
Sentra, Sylphy, Sunny and Pulsar relationships vary by market and generation. A shared platform or similar body is a catalog lead, not evidence that panels, electronics, brakes or service parts interchange.
Record trim and performance equipment
B16 SE-R and B17 SR Turbo/NISMO applications carry engine, brake, suspension and driveline differences. On B18, S/SV/SR and facelift/lighting details also affect orders.
Attach part evidence to the vehicle record
Reuse the confirmed vehicle identity across the order, but add part-specific position, connector, dimensions and label. A headlamp photograph answers a different question from a CVT label or brake-pad outline.
Continue with the same vehicle details
Use the Sentra parts directory to identify other assemblies. Once specifications are clear, retain quantities, packing and destination through the shipping and quotation guide.
Auto parts inquiry
Send the vehicle and part evidence.
Include brand, full model, year, engine or EV drivetrain, OE/material code, quantity, destination and packing request. You can attach a list or old-part photos.
