MG ZS SUVs • Petrol, EV and Hybrid+ identified separately
MG ZS Brakes, Steering & Axle Selection
Compare MG ZS wheel-corner brakes, EPS, rear beams and front driven axles. Retain the actual caliper, parking mechanism, encoder and suspension load record.

Keep a complete wheel-corner record
Use axle, side, friction outline and measured disc package to build a brake request. An EV or Hybrid+ vehicle keeps its actual axle-load and hardware record even when the same wheel size is fitted. A front-pad reference is not approval of every rear friction set.
Identify parking and assistance architecture
Cable parking brakes and motor-on-caliper EPB have different replacement boundaries. Newer Australian petrol and Hybrid+ examples document EPB, but earlier builds need their own mechanism. The master cylinder, booster and vacuum source also remain separate identified units rather than a generic complete brake-system assumption.
Compare beam, carrier and individual arms
Documented newer Australian petrol and Hybrid+ SUVs have a rear torsion beam and front MacPherson suspension. Shared construction does not mean identical beams, springs or dampers. Preserve rear pivot and wheel-end records; a front subframe and a rear multi-link carrier are different assemblies.
Preserve electric assistance and steering market
The inspected newer models have electric steering assistance. A hydraulic steering-pump order is not created from that EPS record. Keep LHD/RHD, rack architecture, electrical identity and tie-rod connections together before comparing a rack or individual joint.
Separate driven axles and bearing contents
Front-wheel drive identifies a layout, not one universal drive shaft. Petrol gearboxes, the EV drive unit and Hybrid+ transmission retain different end interfaces. Bearing-only, complete hub and knuckle quotations also need clear contents; a support-bearing number does not establish the complete axle.
Distinguish rotation, pressure and parking sensors
Wired ABS wheel-speed sensors, radio TPMS and ultrasonic parking sensors serve different systems. Preserve encoder, frequency or bracket/signal evidence as appropriate. These ordinary sensor requests do not approve safety-control modules or ADAS radar supply.
Related assembly comparisons
Match the backing outline of the brake pads to the measured brake discs package.
Specify carrier and parking-mechanism contents separately for the brake caliper, preserving the actual wheel corner.
Keep bore and hydraulic outlets with the brake master cylinder, rather than infer them from the brake booster shape.
The corner brake hose needs its own end fittings, retainers and length.
A wired ABS wheel speed sensor reads rotation, whereas a radio TPMS sensor monitors tyre pressure.
The parking brake actuator is separate EPB equipment and is not fitted to a cable-handbrake vehicle by default.
