Compare the original hatch latch throat, striker and electrical release. Remote unlock does not prove one common latch across petrol, EV and Hybrid+ bodies. A powered spindle moves the hatch but is not the locking mechanism; itemize release and catch contents.

Connected assembly decisions
The tailgate lock actuator retains its striker and release interface independently of the tailgate support / lift strut.
A bare tailgate shell shell does not include glass, gas supports or powered spindles unless those contents are explicitly accepted.
