Santa Fe procurement guide
Santa Fe Engine, Cooling & A/C Parts Guide
Name each fluid, air and electrical circuit before comparing the assemblies that serve it.

Keep fuel-system evidence together
State MPI, GDI or common-rail diesel and retain engine, pump and injector labels. A shared connector does not establish calibration.
Separate cabin heat exchangers
A heater core carries coolant and an evaporator carries refrigerant. Front and auxiliary rear HVAC units may differ in size, pipe exits and controls.
Components and selection boundaries
| Assembly | Purchasing distinction |
|---|---|
Upstream air-fuel ratio and downstream oxygen sensors have different functions and calibration. | |
A matching connector does not prove the housing diameter or calibration family. | |
Manifold, boost and evaporative-pressure sensors are not alternatives merely because their plugs look alike. | |
A camshaft sensor can share connector features but has a different sensing location and signal target. | |
Intake and exhaust positions may differ; retain engine and installed label. | |
Do not compare a pump insert, sender assembly and complete tank module as the same quoted item. | |
Petrol GDI and diesel common-rail pumps have different operating systems. Port-injected petrol engines do not use the GDI pump; verify engine and pump label. | |
Petrol port injection, petrol direct injection and common-rail diesel injectors cannot be combined. Retain any injector calibration code with its engine application. | |
Bolt pattern and bore do not establish electronic calibration for another engine. | |
Diesel variable-geometry and petrol turbo assemblies require their own turbine, compressor and actuator matching. Naturally aspirated engines do not inherit turbo equipment. | |
Identify the charge-air path on the actual engine. A coolant radiator or refrigerant condenser is not an intercooler despite a similar finned appearance. | |
EGR equipment changes by engine, emissions market and production date; physical fit does not establish emissions compliance. | |
Use only for a confirmed diesel emissions system; catalyst, DPF and gasoline particulate-filter assemblies are not interchangeable names. | |
Confirm the engine-driven or electrically assisted vacuum source and its actual purpose. Brake vacuum hardware is not interchangeable with a fuel or coolant pump. | |
A purge valve is not an EGR valve or canister-pressure sensor; hose routing and flow direction matter. | |
Engine coolant and separate hybrid thermal circuits can use different pumps. Identify the circuit, drive type and connector; a mechanical impeller image does not establish electric-pump compatibility. | |
Engine, hybrid configuration, transmission cooling connections and front-end facelift affect the radiator. Keep coolant and transmission-fluid connections separately identified. | |
Opening specification, housing and bypass layout must match the engine, not only the outer diameter. | |
A complete electric fan and shroud, motor alone and controller alone are different quoted items. Confirm the cooling package and control connection. | |
For conventional charging systems only. HEV/PHEV charging architecture may use a starter-generator and DC/DC conversion; do not substitute a conventional alternator based on engine displacement. | |
For vehicles equipped with a conventional starter motor. Hybrid starting systems require separate identification and must not be inferred from the non-hybrid engine. | |
Conventional belt-driven and hybrid electric compressors differ in drive, insulation, oil and control. Verify compressor identity and refrigerant; do not substitute across architectures. | |
Port position, receiver-drier and front-end dimensions must match the installed cooling stack. | |
LHD/RHD HVAC cases can change tube exits and core dimensions. | |
Wheel diameter, rotation and controller arrangement must fit the actual HVAC case. | |
List every chain, guide, tensioner and sprocket; a kit called complete may omit a required stage. | |
Engine oil and transmission-fluid heat exchangers are separate circuits. Identify the gearbox or engine and retain fitting positions and seals. | |
A similar sump outline does not confirm the sealing rail, drain position, lower crankcase depth or oil-level sensor provision. | |
Breather routing, coil wells, gasket profile and integrated valves must match the exact engine and production revision. | |
A coolant heater core is distinct from a refrigerant evaporator. Front and auxiliary rear heater assemblies need separate dimensions and pipe identification. | |
Do not join engine and electrified-system reservoirs in one order line. Pressurized expansion tanks and overflow bottles require different cap specifications. |
Continue the inquiry
Return to the Santa Fe component directory for other systems. Keep quantity, specification and destination together through the quotation process.
Auto parts inquiry
Send the vehicle and part evidence.
Include brand, full model, year, engine or EV drivetrain, OE/material code, quantity, destination and packing request. You can attach a list or old-part photos.
