Nissan Patrol purchasing guide

Nissan Patrol 4WD & Propeller Shaft Parts Guide

Keep transfer, propeller-shaft and wheel-end interfaces traceable across the complete four-wheel-drive order.

Start at the transfer case

Record gearbox and transfer-case identity, actuation type and the requested function. A manual lever system and an electrically actuated system do not share one actuator selection. A switch on the dashboard is not sufficient to identify the mechanism underneath.

Measure shafts using the correct references

Front and rear propeller shafts depend on body wheelbase, drivetrain and flange interfaces. Confirm the measuring condition and datum points with the supplier. A rigid-axle half shaft and an independent CV assembly also need different length, spline and joint records. Do not use one generic driveshaft line for all three assemblies.

Identify the wheel-end mechanism

Where front free-wheeling hubs are fitted, compare manual or automatic mechanism, spline and bolt circle. Keep the locking hub separate from the wheel bearing or complete hub unit. Later independent front suspension does not gain locking-hub compatibility from the Patrol name.

Define differential service contents

A bearing kit should identify each bearing and matching race, plus seals or shims explicitly included. It does not normally establish a final-drive ratio or include a matched gear set. Retain axle identification and differential type for the workshop responsible for assembly and setup.

Four-Wheel Drive & Axles

ComponentPurchasing distinction

Patrol Propeller Shaft

Specify front or rear shaft, body wheelbase and gearbox-to-axle configuration. Record flange pattern, working length and joint arrangement.

Confirm front or rear and wheelbase; flange pilot diameter and bolt pattern; length and joint construction.

Patrol Free-Wheeling Hub

For applicable disengageable front hubs, identify manual or automatic operation, axle spline and mounting bolt circle. Specify single hub or matched pair.

Confirm confirmed hub-equipped front axle; manual or automatic mechanism; spline and bolt pattern.

Patrol Transfer Case Actuator

Identify an electrically operated transfer system and the exact actuator function. Compare housing, gear interface, connector and control reference.

Confirm transfer case and actuator function; gear or shaft interface; connector and identification label.

Patrol Differential Bearing Kit

Record the axle and differential identification before selecting pinion and carrier bearings. Define races, seals and shim inclusion separately.

Confirm axle and differential code; pinion and carrier bearing references; races, seals and shims included.

Patrol Axle Shaft

Distinguish a rigid-axle half shaft from an independent-suspension CV assembly. Identify axle side, spline count, flange and bearing or seal seat.

Confirm rigid axle position and side; spline and flange arrangement; length, bearing seats and seal seats.

Continue with the same vehicle record

Return to the Patrol parts directory for other systems. Once the component requirements are clear, prepare the quantities, packing and destination details for a comparable quotation.

Auto parts inquiry

Send the vehicle and part evidence.

Include brand, full model, year, engine or EV drivetrain, OE/material code, quantity, destination and packing request. You can attach a list or old-part photos.
