Nissan Patrol purchasing guide

Nissan Patrol Cooling & A/C Parts Buying Guide

Separate engine coolant, charge air, refrigerant and oil circuits before comparing heat exchangers or accessory assemblies.

Name the circuit before the component

Radiators, condensers, intercoolers and oil coolers can look similar in photographs while carrying different fluids and using different fittings. Identify engine coolant, charge air, refrigerant or the exact oil circuit first. A cooler integrated with another housing also needs an explicit assembly boundary.

Keep the fan arrangement with the radiator

Record mechanical fan clutch, electric fan and auxiliary condenser-fan equipment separately. Motor-only, blade-only and complete shroud quotations are not equivalent. Match mounting and connections with the engine, transmission and regional cooling package; a hot-climate label is not a technical specification.

Separate front and rear climate equipment

For a Patrol with rear air conditioning, identify which evaporator or blower position is being ordered. Compare HVAC case, steering side, pipe routes and control connections. Compressor requests also need the installed refrigerant, lubricant and drive specification.

Define the complete cooling assembly

Keep pipe fittings, mounting brackets, seals and control hardware explicit in the quotation. A bare heat exchanger and a module supplied with fans or an integrated cooler are not equivalent. Record which existing fittings will be reused, and protect open connections from contamination during packing and transport.

Cooling and climate components

ComponentPurchasing distinction

Patrol Intercooler / Charge-Air Cooler

Identify the installed charge-air cooling layout, cooler position and pipe connections. Distinguish air-to-air units from charge-cooling assemblies using a separate coolant circuit.

Confirm turbo engine and cooler circuit; core dimensions and position; charge-air or coolant connections.

Patrol Water Pump

Identify the engine coolant pump separately from auxiliary electric cooling circuits. Match drive, impeller, housing and hose connections to the exact engine.

Confirm engine and coolant circuit; drive and impeller arrangement; housing and seal geometry.

Patrol Radiator

Compare engine, gearbox and market cooling package with core thickness and hose orientation. Confirm integrated oil-cooler connections and mounting points.

Confirm engine, transmission and cooling package; core dimensions and hose positions; oil-cooler and mount interfaces.

Patrol Thermostat

Specify engine, opening-temperature reference and bypass arrangement. State thermostat insert or complete housing and required seal contents.

Confirm engine and temperature specification; bypass and seal arrangement; insert or housing supply.

Patrol Fan Clutch

For an applicable engine-driven cooling fan, compare coupling, flange, pilot and fan bolt pattern. Keep the fan blade and clutch as separate supply lines unless included.

Confirm engine-driven fan application; coupling and mounting pattern; fan blade interface.

Patrol Radiator Cooling Fan

Identify the electric or engine-driven arrangement and requested motor, blade or shroud contents. Compare mounting, rotation, connector and control equipment where fitted.

Confirm cooling layout and fan position; motor or mechanical drive; blade, shroud and controller contents.

Patrol A/C Compressor

Match refrigerant, drive and control type to the fitted climate system. Specify compressor-only or pulley, clutch and control components where applicable.

Confirm refrigerant and compressor reference; drive, control and connector; mounting and refrigerant ports.

Patrol A/C Condenser

Compare core dimensions, line fittings and receiver-drier arrangement against the front cooling package. Keep production changes and pipe orientation with the request.

Confirm front cooling package; core, mounts and refrigerant fittings; receiver-drier inclusion.

Patrol A/C Evaporator

Identify front or rear climate equipment and the exact HVAC case. Compare core dimensions, pipe exits, expansion-valve interface and sensor provisions.

Confirm front or rear HVAC position; core and pipe geometry; valve and sensor interfaces.

Patrol Blower Motor

Record front or rear HVAC position, steering market and fan-wheel geometry. State motor-and-wheel or motor-only supply and controller inclusion.

Confirm front or rear HVAC and drive side; wheel dimensions and rotation; connector and controller contents.

Patrol Oil Cooler

Identify engine-oil, transmission-fluid or another oil circuit before choosing the heat exchanger. Compare coolant or air cooling, fittings and filter-housing relationship.

Confirm oil circuit and engine or gearbox; cooling medium and port layout; core, housing and seal contents.

Continue with the same vehicle record

Return to the Patrol parts directory for other systems. Once the component requirements are clear, prepare the quantities, packing and destination details for a comparable quotation.
