MG HS Brakes, Suspension & AWD Parts
Compare MG HS wheel-corner brakes, EPS, independent rear suspension and fitted petrol AWD. Retain load, parking mechanism, encoder and driven interfaces.

Keep each brake corner identifiable
Pads, discs, calipers, flexible hoses and speed sensors must retain axle, side and installed brake-package records. A common wheel size is not approval of the same friction dimensions. Confirm the rear parking mechanism and agree EPB motor-only or complete-caliper contents rather than mixing their purchasing boundaries.
Preserve electrified assistance and load records
Regenerative braking does not remove ordinary friction brakes or prove an earlier petrol caliper is correct. Identify the actual brake assistance, hydraulic interfaces and original axle-load specification. Springs, dampers and upper mounts must follow that chassis package; they are not selected simply by the petrol, PHEV or Hybrid+ sales badge.
Compare independent rear suspension, not a beam
Identify the HS rear multi-link members and suspension carrier from the installed chassis. A ZS torsion beam is another architecture. Keep front lower arms separate from rear links, and compare every pivot, knuckle attachment and anti-roll-bar connection before agreeing bushes or joints inside an arm assembly.
Trace wheel-end sensing and driven connections
A bearing-only item, hub flange and complete hub have different contents. Keep the ABS encoder and sensor face with the installed corner, then retain driven-wheel splines where applicable. A CV axle connects the gearbox or final drive to a wheel; a longitudinal AWD propeller shaft connects different driveline units.
Restrict AWD requests to fitted petrol equipment
An identified earlier 2.0T petrol AWD build can require a PTU/transfer assembly, propeller shaft and rear final drive. Preserve their labels, ratio, flange and mounting records. A FWD rear suspension does not imply a differential, and no earlier AWD component is automatically approved for a newer hybrid transmission.
Keep steering architecture and market separate
Identify the LHD/RHD rack, tie rods, assist arrangement and body mounts together. EPS assistance can be located differently between assemblies; a rack picture is not approval of an electronic control unit. Retain exact mounting and signal equipment without replacing the steering request with a hydraulic pump from another model.
Related assembly comparisons
Match the brake pads outline to the accepted brake discs dimensions before agreeing an axle set.
The brake caliper piston and carrier establish a separate hydraulic and mounting request.
Identify the installed brake booster assistance before selecting a brake master cylinder interface.
A brake vacuum pump belongs only to its actual pressure circuit, not an assumed complete electronic brake unit.
The brake hose fitting must match the installed brake caliper port.
Route the ABS wheel speed sensor lead with the actual suspension corner rather than treating electrical sensing as hydraulic equipment.
